This Cardiac Science model is Fully Automatic, which means the rescuer is not required to press a shock button! Simply follow the clear and concise voice instructions to place the electrode pads on the victim's chest, and let the AED do the analysis and deliver the energy, if needed.
Cardiac Science Powerheart AED G3 features an impressive Rescue Ready technology, non-polarized pads, and variable escalating energy. The Powerheart AED G3’s self-test checks the battery, internal electronics, and pads (for both presence and function) on a daily basis. In addition, a weekly test checks the software and performs a partial energy charge, and monthly it will check the internal electronics with a full energy simulated rescue.
The Powerheart G3 uses pre-connected non-polarized electrode pads. This means that either pad can be placed in the upper-right or lower-left chest position, which makes pad placement much easier than with traditional polarized pads.
The Powerheart G3 uses Cardiac Science’s proprietary RhythmX analysis technology to determine the patient’s electrical impedance, and then customizes the appropriate energy level required for that individual. If more than one shock is necessary to convert the patient, the software will use its variable escalating energy to deliver an appropriate higher energy level.
